"The 8th International Neoist Apartment Festival": Apt 8 happened from May 21-May 26, 1984 in London.  It was co-organized by Monty Cantsin (Istvan Kantor) & Monty Cantsin (Pete Horobin).  It was at the latter's Council House.  I was a participant.  This was the 1st Neoist Apt Fest to take place outside North America - unless one considers the Würzburg, West Germany Neoist Training Camp of 1982 to've been an Apt Fest (I usually don't, strictly speaking, because it wasn't designated as such).  The footage was shot using VHS PAL video & super-8mm film & 35mm stills mainly by the 2 above-mentioned Monty Cantsins & probably by myself as well.  When I visited Monty Cantsin (Pete Horobin) in 1988 in Dundee, he gave me the raw footage & I made 3 different edits of it.  This is the shortest of the 3 edits.  If I remember correctly, each edit was probably a reduction made from the previous one so there would've been the raw footage degraded by one edit degraded by a 2nd edit degraded by a 3rd edit & then further degraded by transfer to VHS NTSC.  As such, there have been at least 4 & maybe even 5 generation reductions in the quality.  Nonetheless, the ideas get across reasonably well.  I could start the editing process all over again as close to scratch as possible & generally improve on the quality but I have too many other things to do to make that worth my while.  Instead, I've ever-so-slightly improved the contrast in the London Musician's Collective scene, dropped out some hum, & added some minimal ID titles.  The voice-over of Eugenie Vincent & myself over the stills section was added at an unknown date.  The voice-over + percussion by myself & John Berndt over the exchange film near the end was probably added in 1991. - August 19, 2017 notes from tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE
